Partner interview with Denise Thomson of Yes-co

SCOPE FinTech Solutions and Yes-co have entered into a partnership as of September 2020. Thanks to this partnership, the CDD On Demand solution is integrated into Yes-co's software for brokers. This makes Yes-co the first provider to offer brokers an integrated solution for complying with the obligations arising from the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Prevention) Act and the Sanctions Act.

Can you tell a little about yourself and your role within Yes-co? 

"I have been working at Yes-co for 13 years now. First I started at a sister company and through that company I ended up at Yes-co as a customer support employee. In that role, I mainly helped real estate agents when they had questions about the software. From there I moved more and more into the sales side and currently, I am a Sales & Support manager. I like that role because it allows me to hear what issues are going on with support and still have a lot of contact with the customers and at the same time respond to this with sales."

When was Yes-co founded? And how many employees does Yes-co currently have? 

"Yes-Co was founded in 2006 and we currently have 8 permanent employees. The National Mortgage Association is a sister company of Yes-Co that employs 40 people. The cooperation is very close and is becoming more integrated, we are also in their offices, so actually you can say we have almost 50 employees."

Can you explain what Yes-co does for real estate agents? 

"Yes-co is a CRM system for real estate agents. With our system, estate agents can keep track of their relationships, properties, and files and do all kinds of extra things from within the software, with or without external parties, such as creating brochures, digital signatures, creating a digital completion report, but also, for example, doing Wwft & UBO checks. We want all of these actions to be able to be started from Yes-co and also to enter the system again, in order to completely relieve the broker of any worries. Of course, the properties can be published from our system directly on Funda, Jaap, Huislijn, Pararius, Realnext, Ventu, etc. among others. So the Yes-co system is a true one-stop-shop!"

How many brokers are currently using Yes-co's CRM system? 

"Yes-Co currently has 300 to 350 users."

How did incorporating a Wwft check become an agenda item, and how did Yes-co end up with SCOPE FinTech?

"Because we want brokers to be able to arrange everything easily in our system and because the NVM also emphasizes the importance of the Wwft for brokers, we started thinking about integrating a Wwft check into our software. We looked at several options for this such as developing it ourselves and going into partnership. This led us fairly quickly to SCOPE FinTech Solutions and another party. Since SCOPE also has experience with CRM systems it clicked well and we were impressed with the functionalities of the CDD On Demand solution."

Why did you choose SCOPE FinTech Solutions? 

"We chose SCOPE partly because the API connection was very complete and it worked quickly. Moreover, we didn't think it was necessary to reinvent the wheel ourselves when there is a party that has a good solution."

How did the collaboration go?

"The cooperation with SCOPE went very smoothly. We had good contact with the technical department and communication was also very smooth from SCOPE sales. If there were any questions, they were handled quickly and competently. As a result, the whole integration process went very smoothly and the API connection worked very quickly."

How many of your clients use SCOPE FinTech Solutions' Wwft check? 

"Of our customers, at least half use CDD On Demand's Wwft check. In our software, we have a built-in app store that allows brokers to enable or disable additional system functionality. One of the additional options is CDD On Demand's Wwft check. We actually advise our clients to do this, because a lot of fines are handed out by the tax authorities, and those fines aren't nothing."

Are you getting positive feedback from clients about SCOPE FinTech Solutions' Wwft check?

"We get a lot of positive feedback from customers; there are even customers who wonder if the checks are real because it works so quickly and easily. Many customers also like the report that can be downloaded. Mainly that it works quickly and simply and that it is so well integrated we get to hear a lot."
