Announcements

This page contains important information about any changes that may affect your use of our solutions and may include actions you need to take. We recommend that you read this page carefully.

Current announcements

Preparations have been made for the possible splitting of the api.scope.nl and cmp.scope.nl sites in the future. When using the API, it is important to use the URL api.scope.nl instead of cddapi.azurewebsites.net or api.cddondemand.com, so that no disruption occurs during a future update.

We hereby inform you of a change in our services relating to two-factor authentication (2FA) via SMS, which is part of our CDD products.

Effective2November 21, 2025,our SMS verification will be provided bySeven Communications GmbH & Co. KG (www.seven.io), replacing our current providerTwilio Inc. (www.twilio.com). This change involves an adjustment to our sub-processor structure and is intended to further optimize the reliability and performance of our SMS services.

Seven Communications is located atWillestraße 4–6, 24103 Kiel, Germany, and hosts its services within the European Union. The company complies with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and has appointed a data protection officer. The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with Article 6 of the GDPR, with appropriate security measures such as SSL/TLS encryption, strict access control, and processing agreements with all parties involved.

What data is shared with Seven?

For sending SMS messages for 2FA purposes, only themobile phone numberis shared with Seven. No name details(such as first name or last name) are passed on.

This SMS verification is used for both:

  • Userswho log in to our CDD environment
  • Customerswho undergo authentication via forms

This change has no impact on the use of our API, unless you send forms for which SMS authentication is enabled. When logging in to change settings, the regular CMP login remains applicable (which will also run via Seven from November 1).

If you have any questions about this change, its impact on your services, or need assistance with making adjustments, please feel free to contact your account manager or send an email to info@scope.nl.

Previous announcements

We hereby inform you of a change in our CDD products with regard to geographical screening.

As of November 21, 2025, the AFM High-Risk Countries List will be removed from our products. This list no longer exists as a separate source and has now been aligned with the FATF list, which will continue to exist and remain available within our screening functionality.

If you currently use the AFM High-Risk Countries List in one of your risk sets, we recommend that you remove it and save a new version of the risk set. This will prevent any errors or interruptions in your screening process after the change date.

This change has no impact on other parts of our products, and the FATF list will remain available as usual for geographic risk assessment.

We would like to inform you about upcoming changes to the Standard Industrial Classification (SBI) being implemented by the Chamber of Commerce (KVK) and the impact this will have on your SCOPE application. These changes will take place between Friday, September 5, 10:30 p.m. and Sunday, September 7, 8:00 p.m. During this period, it will not be possible to retrieve data from the Trade Register.

Availability and processing

CDD On Demand and the Compliance Management Portal will have limited availability throughout the weekend. Once the Chamber of Commerce has implemented the changes, SMT will immediately start a production update. Please note that SMT is dependent on the Chamber of Commerce's schedule. Any delays or reversals of the changes may affect our turnaround times.

After the SBI codes have been changed, a conversion file will be made available. This file and additional information can be found at www.kvk.nl/sbi.

What does this mean for you?

In some cases, it is necessary to take action in response to the changes in the SBI codes. Below you can read what this means in concrete terms for your use of our products and what steps you may need to take to keep your processes up to date.

CDD On Demand

In principle, you do not need to take any action unless you use SBI codes in your risk set. If this is the case, we recommend that you adjust your risk policy to the new SBI codes and update the risk set codes accordingly (these codes can be found here ). Please only make these adjustments after the update, i.e. on Monday, September 8. Please note that CDD On Demand will have limited availability throughout the weekend.

Compliance Management Portal

Adjust your risk policy to the new SBI codes. These codes can be found here . Configure the new risk sets on Monday, September 8, when the new SBI codes can be retrieved from the Trade Register via CMP.Please note that the Compliance Management Portal will have limited availability throughout the weekend.

We also recommend that you re-run the Chamber of Commerce enrichment for all your customers on Monday, September 8, using batch processing. This will ensure that all SBI codes are automatically updated. Manually entered SBI codes must be changed manually.

Batch processing works as follows:

  • Under relations, create a list of all companies with a CoC number.
  • Go to Batch processing and click on “Create batch.”
  • Give the batch a name, select the Relation list, and choose Batch type “CoC data enrichment.”
  • Check the configuration and click on “Start batch.”

What you can expect from us

We understand that these changes will mean extra work for you. Unfortunately, we have no influence on these changes, nor on the planning of the Chamber of Commerce.

We are doing our utmost to have our products updated by 9:00 a.m. on Monday, September 8. However, if the CoC experiences delays, we are unfortunately dependent on them.
