The <strong><a style=\"color: #ff9900;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.belastingdienst.nl\/wps\/wcm\/connect\/bldcontentnl\/berichten\/nieuws\/vanaf-1-januari-2026-btwwft-en-beh-worden-dienst-financieel-economische-Integriteit-dfei\">Financial and Economic Integrity Service (DFEI)<\/a><\/strong> wordt dan het centrale aanspreekpunt voor toezicht, handhaving en opsporing op het gebied van integriteit binnen het financi\u00eble stelsel. Wat betekent deze verandering voor u en uw organisatie? In deze blog leest u de belangrijkste feiten en gevolgen, rechtstreeks uit de offici\u00eble regeling van het ministerie van Financi\u00ebn.<\/p>\n<h2>What is DFEI and why this change?<\/h2>\n<p>DFEI is een nieuw organisatieonderdeel binnen het Ministerie van Financi\u00ebn. De oprichting volgt uit de wens om niet-fiscale taken, zoals het toezicht op witwassen en terrorismefinanciering, buiten de Belastingdienst te plaatsen. DFEI neemt de taken over van het Bureau Toezicht Wwft en het Bureau Economische Handhaving. Hiermee ontstaat een gespecialiseerde dienst die zich volledig richt op het voorkomen en bestrijden van witwassen, terrorismefinanciering en overtreding van sanctiemaatregelen, vooral bij niet-financi\u00eble en niet-juridische poortwachters zoals makelaars, taxateurs, domicilieverleners en trustkantoren.<\/p>\n<h2>What will DFEI do?<\/h2>\n<p>DFEI will have three main departments:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>AML Supervision: <\/strong>Focused on supervision and enforcement at gatekeepers that fall under the AML.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\"><strong>UBO and economic enforcement:\u00a0<\/strong>focus op transparantie van eigenaarsstructuren en handhaving van het UBO- en trustregister.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Professional expertise, business operations, and strategy:<\/strong> ondersteuning en ontwikkeling van beleid, processen en strategie.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The tasks of DFEI are broad and far-reaching. They include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervision of compliance with the AML and related legislation.<\/li>\n<li>Enforcement in the event of violations, both administrative and criminal.<\/li>\n<li>Opsporing van overtredingen van de administratieplicht en registratieplichten, zoals de Handelsregisterwet.<\/li>\n<li>Behandeling van bezwaarschriften en beroepsprocedures die voortvloeien uit het eigen toezicht en de handhaving.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What does this mean for you?<\/h2>\n<p>De komst van DFEI betekent dat het toezicht op Wwft-naleving verder wordt aangescherpt. Tegelijkertijd zal DFEI streng optreden als instellingen bewust regels overtreden of frauderen.
